WHAT YOU’LL CREATE

YOUR DANCE TAKES SHAPE AS YOU LEARN

A six-module course is designed as a step-by-step creative process. Every lesson includes a PDF exercise or practical assignment. As you work through them, you develop, organize, and document your own choreography – from the first idea to a complete dance.

By the end of the course, you won’t just understand the process – you’ll have your own dance developed and documented, even if you don’t have dancers yet.

WHAT YOU’LL WORK ON

1. INTRODUCTION TO CHOREOGRAPHY

Understand what your dance is about, find inspiration, recognize common creative mistakes, and learn how to begin creating without fear.

2. WORKING WITH IDEAS & STORY

Develop a clear concept, explore storytelling and storyboarding, and learn how movement can communicate an idea. Includes examples from choreographic works.

3. WORKING WITH MOVEMENT

Explore how to structure, space, contrast, transitions, dynamics, and rhythm shape choreography. Learn how to connect movement choices and develop an individual movement style.

4. CREATING YOUR OWN DANCE

Put everything into practice as you develop your own dance. Learn how to find original movement elements, map music and its accents on paper, capture choreography through written notes and digital tools, and keep your creative ideas organized as your work develops.

5. STAGIN THE DANCE

Learn how to bring your choreography to dancers, whether working with a soloist or a group. Develop ways to communicate your vision, lead rehearsals, and work through rehearsal challenges and criticism.

6. PRESENTING YOUR DANCE & STARTING YOUR CAREER

Prepare your work for the stage and beyond – from bringing the choreography to life and filming it to sharing your work, finding an audience, and understanding what comes after the premiere.

WHAT MAKES THIS APPROACH DIFFERENT

DON’T JUST LEARN CHOREOGRRAPHY. LEARN HOW TO THINK LIKE A CHOREOGRAPHER

MEANING BEFORE MOVEMENT

Start with an idea, emotion, question, or story – then make movement serve it.

STRUCTURE CREATES FREEDOM

A clear structure gives your ideas direction and helps you make intentional choices.

CREATE WHILE YOU LEARN

You won’t just watch lessons. You’ll apply each concept to your own choreography as you move through the course.

DEVELOP YOUR OWN VOICE

The goal isn’t to copy someone else’s style. It’s to discover what makes your movement yours.

What Students Say

What surprised me the most is that this course is not about moving. It’s about thinking. That was unexpected-and kind of uncomfortable at first. I never planned to create my own choreography, but now I have pages in my notebook filled with concepts, structure, and ideas. I don’t know where it will lead yet, but now I have a new goal-and I didn’t have that before.

Gabriella Lightman

I’ve taken a few choreography courses before, but this one really stood out. The storyboard section was an eye-opener – I had never done anything like that, and it completely changet how I organize my ideas before stepping on the floor. The structure of the course makes everything very practical and easy to apply right away.

Daniel Madiez

This course helped me understand how to think, not just what to do. The part about finding your own style actually made me think differently about how I move. It didn’t make me a choreographer overnight, but it gave me tools I didn’t have before. And more importantly, it made me feel like it’s actually possible.
